Ryan Adds Pharma Division

D.L. Ryan Cos. has added a medical marketing division to its Ryan iDirect direct-marketing arm.

The new unit, called Ryan TrueHealth, will handle direct and interactive marketing for healthcare and pharmaceutical companies. Leading the division is Senior VP-Group Director Alfred O’Neill, who joined Ryan in October 2005. (He had been senior VP-director of strategy and insights at Wunderman, New York, and earlier was president-chief strategy officer at pharma agency Euro RSCG Life Interaction.)

“New DTC regulations are compelling brands to search for new ways to understand how to market health to consumers, while at the same time consumers’ attitudes towards these messages and their own health management needs are constantly evolving,” O’Neill said in a statement.
