R.R. Donnelley willl sell its package logistic business to Heritage Partners Inc., a Boston-based private equity firm. The deal includes Donnelley’s CTC Direct. The cash transaction should close by the end of third quarter 2004. The companies did not reveal the purchase price.
The business that was sold consolidates and mails small packages to homes in the U.S. Donnelley will continue to operate its print logistics, fulfillment and distribution businesses, and will also provide third-party logistic services.
