Rodkin, CEO of PepsiCo Beverages and Foods NA, Resigns

Gary M. Rodkin, the chairman and CEO of PepsiCo Beverages and Foods North America, has resigned to pursue new career opportunities, the company said yesterday.

Rodkin, 52, has been in the position since 2002. He will remain with PepsiCo through June to “ensure a smooth transition,” the company said.

PepsiCo has promoted two executives to lead the North American beverage and food operations, effective immediately.

Dawn Hudson, 47, has been named president and CEO of Pepsi-Cola North America. She will continue to oversee the development, marketing and selling of all beverages distributed through Pepsi’s bottler network. She joined PepsiCo in 1997.

John C. Compton, 43, has been named president and CEO of QTG, consisting of the Quaker Foods and Tropicana/Gatorade divisions in the U.S. and Canada, based in Chicago. He was previously vice chairman of Frito-Lay North American and president of salty snacks. He has been an executive with PepsiCo for 22 years.
