E-mail services provider Return Path will take over operational duties for Bonded Sender, an e-mail white-listing service, from IronPort Systems, in exchange for an undisclosed amount of stock and a seat on the Return Path board.
San Bruno, CA-based IronPort developed Bonded Sender in 2002 as a way to identify reputable e-mail senders and speed their messages past the spam filters set up by Internet service providers and portals. Legitimate senders post a cash bond and agree to abide by Bonded Sender
