Printer R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co., Chicago, will purchase Penton Press, a business-to-business printing subsidiary of Cleveland-based Penton Media. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, although the agreement includes a seven-year contract to print more than 30 of Penton Media’s Publications.
The 128,000 square foot printing employs 260 workers.
Once the transaction closes – expected by year’s end – Penton Press will operate as part of R.R. Donnelley’s Specialized Publishing Services division, Donnelley’s short-run magazine production unit.
