Quora Introduces Online Now for Quick Answers

Posted on

Quora logo - colorQuora, the Q&A website, has launched Online Now, a new feature that be visible in its Ask to Answer product. As the name conveys, Online Now will show when experts relevant to a question are on the site now, akin to an online status. This could be great for questions that are time-sensitive, and could pull quick-decision questions away from sites like Facebook and Twitter. Online Now will be especially helpful for users on their mobile devices. Quora allows users to opt out of displaying their online status on the site. This feature emphasizes Quora as a site for experts to establish themselves as leaders on their topics. The company admits that this won’t make money, but focusing on mobile usage appears to be a smart move. (TechCrunch, WebProNews)
