Quiznos Follows ‘Apprentice’ Appearance with Promo

Quiznos is extending its appearance last week on “The Celebrity Apprentice” with an in-store sandwich offer tied to the show and an online contest.

The company is selling its most recent version of its gourmet Sammies sandwiches, created by celebrities, in more than 5,000 restaurants through April 6. They include The Champ: Turkey, cheddar and chipotle mayonnaise topped with a lettuce and tomato garnish and the Cowboy Club: Prime Rib, mozzarella, sautéed onions, bacon and chipotle mayonnaise.

During last week’s show, contestants had to create and sell a new Quiznos sandwich. The winning team was Hydra, which developed The Champ sandwich.

The online contest lets viewers pick their favorite Sammie sandwich for a chance to win a trip for two to New York City to stay at Trump International Hotel & Tower and tickets to a Broadway play. People can enter at http://www.Quiznos.com through March 21. Visitors can also opt-in to receive text messages about Quiznos promotions via mobile phones.

One hundred other winners will receive a Sammie Combo Meal gift card valued at $10. Online marketing supports the contest.

Quiznos promoted its recent “Apprentice” appearance on its Web site, as well as with in-restaurant clings on tables.
