Postal Official Says Mail Service Will Continue

In spite of disruptions due to post office and processing centers, both for actual anthrax contamination and scares, a top postal official said that mail service would not be interrupted.

Wire reports quoted Deborah Willhite, a vice president with the USPS as acknowledging that with the turn of the month approaching, people are dependant on mail’s continued flow.

Mail plays a large role in distribution of financial disbursements, and Willhite said the Postal Service would meet its obligation in delivering them.
