Former presidential candidate Sen. Bob Dole will serve as a strategic consultant to EqualFooting.com, a B-to-B online marketplace. Dole will advise on such issues as corporate partnerships, grassroots marketing and small-business outreach.
In addition to being a former Senate majority leader, Dole is special counsel to the Washington law firm Verner, Liipfert, Bernhard, McPherson and Hand, as well as a TV pitchman for Visa and Viagra.
Another famous Republican, New York mayor Rudolph Giuliani, also made DM headlines. He sent a fundraising letter to Sen. Robert Torricelli of New Jersey. Torricelli heads the Senate campaign committee for the Democrats.
