Peter Sealey Joins MaxWorldwide

MaxWorldwide Inc., formerly L90 Inc., has named Peter Sealey as chief strategy officer.

Sealey, the former head of marketing for Coca-Cola and Columbia Pictures, will work with the company’s management team on a day-to-day basis to develop strategic positioning and marketing, the company said.

He is the founder and CEO of Los Altos Group Inc., a Silicon Valley consulting firm specializing in business and marketing strategy. Sealey will work from both the New York offices of MaxWorldwide and his consulting firm on the West Coast, a spokesperson said.

He is also adjunct professor of marketing and co-director of the Center for Marketing and Technology at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. He has been a frequent speaker at direct marketing conferences and events.

Last week, MaxWorldwide completed its acquisition of DoubleClick’s North America media business for $9.4 million in cash and stock. DoubleClick chairman Kevin O’Connor was named to the MaxWorldwide board of directors.

MaxWorldwide is an online ad sales and traditional direct marketing company. The firm has two divisions–MaxOnline and MaxDirect, with sales offices in Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco and Seattle.
