Mailing list brokerage Paradysz Matera Co., New York, has hired Randy Robertson to open an office in Walnut Creek, CA. Until Monday, Robertson had headed up the Walnut Creek office of Acxiom/Direct Media Inc.
“It’s fabulous. All of us could not be more excited,” Chris Paradysz, CEO of PMC told DIRECT Newsline. “We spent two-and-a-half years figuring out what we wanted to do on the West Coast….The timing was right.”
Robertson’s new title is vice president of client management, California.
“The California office will be a beachhead for our Web initiatives,” Paradysz said. “We’re certainly hopeful that Randy’s expertise is going to attract existing as well as new clients,” Paradysz said.
No other new hires have been announced. Indicating that he had talked to the brokers and is “very encouraged about how it’s going to end up,” Paradysz said, “by the end of the week, we’ll certainly have indications of who’s going to be joining us. Randy certainly had some fantastic people working for him.”
The list brokers at the DMI Walnut Creek handle e-mail as well postal lists in consumer and business-to-business categories.
