Panama City Beach Positions Itself as Spring Break Destination

The Panama City Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau is tempting college students from the U.S. and Canada to hit its beaches for Spring Break 2005.

The integrated marketing and promotional effort will reach millions of college students via a variety of tactics including:

  • The launch of www.PCB05.com, a “Spring Break Travel Portal” which will offer student great discounts and giveaways as it informs them all about Panama City Beach
  • The ultimate Spring Break sweepstakes: offering students the chance to win a free VIP spring break experience for four
  • Sponsorship of the TKO Campus Technology tour. Supporting sponsor presence at a 25-campus tour produced by Mr. Youth LLC, which handles the promotions, in partnership with the Consumer Electronics Association
  • Creation and distribution of 1 Million Ultimate Panama City Beach guides
  • The creation of the “PCB Experience”, a 10-campus tour bringing the ‘PCB Experience” to campus
  • A variety of targeted online and print-based media tactics to generate mass awareness about Panama City Beach and www.PCB05.com

In addition to handling the promotions Mr Youth LLC has also gained the exclusive rights to market certain municipal marketing assets to national sponsors seeking to reach the coveted college market during Spring Break 2005.
