Open, an interactive television service offering such options as banking and shopping online, was launched to one million homes in the United Kingdom yesterday. Open also provides video games and e-mail.
The service is offered free to BskyB’s SkyDigital satellite service subscribers. British Sky Broadcasting Group plc is one of Open’s larger shareholders.
