According to a study from Econsultancy and Adobe, 94 percent of businesses say it’s “quite” or “very” important to link content management with the ability to measure its on-site performance. Digital asset management and personalization are also key areas that businesses say need to be integrated with their content management system (CMS). However, only 14 percent of businesses say their CMS gives them a complete view of engagement across all channels.
The survey also found that 39 percent of businesses say their current CMS is “excellent” or “good” when it comes to integrating with Web or mobile analytics platforms and technologies, while 36 percent say the same about e-commerce platforms, and 33 percent say the same for personalization.
CMS technology limitations are cited as the biggest barrier to successfully implementing a CMS according to 36 percent of client-side respondents and 33 percent of agency respondents.
