OgilvyAction Names Jack Rooney CEO

OgilvyAction, the global brand activation arm of The Ogilvy Group, has reorganized its North American leadership.

Jack Rooney has been named chief executive officer of OgilvyAction North America. He will oversee operations in Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Stamford, CT, and Toronto. He also hold the title of president of The Ogilvy Group’s 360 operation in Chicago. The post takes effect in mid-December.

Most recently, Rooney had been the chief executive officer of Campbell Mithun. Prior to that he was an executive vice president at sports and event marketing company, GMR Live. Earlier, Rooney managed the global BP account at Ogilvy Chicago.

In other news, Jay Farrell moves into the chairmanship role of OgilvyAction North America. He is charged with leading business development, discipline expansion, strategic alliance and acquisition. He had been the North American chief executive officer of OgilvyAction.
