Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP) has promoted Robert Traub to senior VP-retail development, effective immediately.
In his newly expanded role, Traub is in charge of building NVCP’s international retail relationships and boosting worldwide product presence for Nick Jr., Nickelodeon, Nickelodeon Movies, Paramount Pictures, Comedy Central, MTVN International and Spike TV licensed properties—part of the Viacom family.
Traub, who recently worked as the department’s VP, now develops domestic and international programs, business models and strategies for the full NVCP portfolio. As part of his duties, Traub will continue to manage his retail staff based in New York City, with satellite offices that recently opened in Bentonville, AR and Minneapolis, MN.
Before joining NVCP in January 1999, Traub worked as director of marketing/sales at Marvel Entertainment Group where he developed and executed specialty market sales and marketing programs. Prior to that,Traub worked several years at Nestlé Frozen Foods Co.
Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products manages licensing for properties including SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer. The department handles merchandising for Nick Jr., Nickelodeon, Paramount Pictures, Comedy Central, MTVN International and Spike TV.
