The National Hockey League has signed a contract extension with GSI Commerce Inc. for the latter to provide online and offline marketing services through 2014.
In addition to search engine marketing and e-mail services, GSI provides order processing, fulfillment and handles customer service for the league. GSI will also publish and mail catalogs for the NHL.
GSI launched and has operated the league’s Shop.NHL.com Web site since 2005. “We have seen significant increase of merchandise sales on the site,” said in a statement Brian Jennings, NHL executive vice president of product marketing.
