Next Generation Reports 4.4% Revenue Decline

Next Generation Media Corp. reported $2 million in revenue for the second quarter ending June 30, a 4.4 percent decline from the same period last year.

The firm also posted a $125,627 loss for the quarter.

The shortfall came mostly from the company’s franchise operation. The company offers franchised direct marketing services through a subsidiary, United Marketing Solutions.

But Next Generation’s insert media sales increased 16% in the second quarter.

The decline “should not be viewed as predictive of our fiscal year,” said CEO Darryl Reed in a statement. “We have taken significant steps to reduce costs and increase the effectiveness of a number of our franchises,”

In addition to cooperative direct mail advertising and coupon booklets, through its franchises, the company provides mailing services for doctors, dentists and other professionals and for special events.
