CLEAR CHANNEL ENTERTAINMENT:

New York City, promoted Ginger Kraus and Jill Vogel to VPs-national sales and marketing in New York City and Washington, DC, respectively. Both had been senior directors in Clear Channel’s National Sales & Marketing division. Kraus will create branded marketing programs that tie food, electronics, spirits, beer and media brands to live events produced by Clear Channel, including sports, music and theater. Vogel will manage sales development, research and database management for Clear Channel’s national and local sales teams.

NICK JR. SWEEPSTAKES: entered its most-ever number of contestants in its latest sweepstakes last month. The winner: A four-year-old Virginia boy was one of 50,000 contestants who entered the Great Big Little Bill Sweepstakes and was awarded a trip to New York City over Thanksgiving week.

BURGER KING CORP.: added a nutrition guide to its Web site www.burgerking.com. The guide lists information on all menu items; a calorie calculator shows consumers how a change in ingredients can suit their nutritional needs. Miami-based Burger King relaunched its site in late September; October traffic was 28% higher than BK’s monthly average. Interactive agency VML, Kansas City, MO, handles.

WEAR-DATED: presents the “Ironman Wear-Dated Durability Sweepstakes” Oct. 1 to Dec. 31, as part of a partnership between the carpet fiber company and Ironman. Entrants can register online at www.weardated.com. The grand-prize winner will receive a trip for four to the 2004 Ironman Triathlon. Wear-Dated provided 60 yards of carpet emblazoned with its logo for the finish line of the 2003 Ironman Triathlon World Championship in Hawaii, which will be broadcast Dec. 6 on NBC. The Hughes Group, St. Louis handles.

PALISADES MEDIA GROUP: Santa Monica, CA, has named Corey Weiss VP-integrated marketing and promotions. He will be responsible for creating marketing opportunities for Palisades’ clients. Most recently, Weiss worked as a marketing consultant developing partnership and promotional opportunities for entertainment and new media clients including Sony Pictures, DreamWorks and NeoPets.
