BURGER KING: celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Whopper sandwich by immortalizing the product as an attraction in Madam Tussauds Wax Museum In New York City. The wax image portrays The King presenting the Whopper on a silver platter. It is the first food product to be part of the collection. The company is also launching a series of TV spots that show people life without the burger. AEGIS MEDIA AMERICAS’: event and experiential marketing unit, Carat Brand Experience, is joining Posterscope USA. The entities will be renamed The Brand Experience. Posterscope is part of the Posterscope Worldwide network, the largest buyer of outdoor space in the world.

VALASSIS: is planning to retire the Advo name by yearend. The change comes nine months after the marketing giant, best known for newspaper-delivered promotions and advertisements, bought Advo, a direct mail marketer, for $1.3 billion. The firm will operate at Valassis. It reaches more than 100 million households each week.
