CHEVRON: is partnering with the Tiger Woods Foundation to develop programs in support of the foundation. The new partnership includes Chevron taking title sponsorship of the 2008 World Challenge golf tournament, a key fund-raiser for Woods’ foundation. Chevron will also become a founding partner of the AT&T National, a tournament with Woods as host in Bethesda, MD.
COLDWATER CREEK: is launching a fund-raiser, called Try It On for the Cure, to benefit the local affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, an organization supporting breast cancer research. On April 20, the women’s retailer will donate $1 to the cause for every shopper who tries on clothes in a dressing room at the store. The company will also donate 10% of every event sale to Komen for purchases made that day. Last year, the firm donated $316,000 to local affiliates.
