Mobile marketing company SkyGo Inc. has released a product that integrates mobile marketing with traditional campaigns.
A short, numeric code printed on traditional ads, such as billboards, print ads or broadcast commercials, allows consumers to respond to the ads using their mobile phones. When consumers dial the code, they can speak directly to the advertiser to receive more information, special offers or prizes.
SkyCode, the new technology, was developed by Mountain View, CA-based Verisign Inc., which rolled out a program in Hong Kong. Advertisers are participating in a marketing campaign around the movie, “Collateral Damage.”
