Nestlé Sweeps Sends Winners to American Idol Finale

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Nestlé is making things extra sweet for American Idol fans offering a chance to go to the finale this spring as part of a new sweepstakes.

Nestlé is rolling out a collect-and-win promotion on packaging of its Nestlé Crunch, Baby Ruth, Butterfinger, Nestlé Treasure and 100 Grand candy bars offering five winners a trip for two to Hollywood to see the 2007 American Idol finale.

To play, fans check official game wrappers, which include one of eight letters and the American Idol logo. Consumers who collect the wrappers that spell the phrase “Go To Hollywood” through May 1 will win the grand prize. One hundred first-prize winners will receive an American Idol prize pack including a branded messenger bag, cell phone holder, baseball hat and the season six CD. Lesser prizes include show-branded hats and coupons for free Nestle candy bars.

Nestlé is partnering with FremantleMedia, the producer of the show, for the sweepstakes.

Online materials and print ads in entertainment publications will support the promotion.
