New England Business Service Inc.’s Advantage Payroll Services unit will acquire Paychex Inc. for $47.4 million.
With the acquisition, the business-to-business direct marketer plans to expand its offerings in payroll services.
“This represents an expanded opportunity for the company given the breadth of services available through Paychex.” said Groton, MA-based NEBS CEO Robert J. Murray, in a statement.
