Chris Granger has been named senior vice president, team marketing and business operations for the National Basketball Association.
Granger, 37, will advise the NBA, WNBA and D-League teams on all sales and marketing efforts, including ticket sales and sponsorship development. He most recently held the position of NBA senior vice president, team business development.
Granger replaces Scott O’Neil, who has been named president, Madison Square Garden Sports, overseeing business operations for the New York Knicks, Rangers and Liberty.
Granger has held management positions in human resources, team marketing and business operations since joining the NBA in 1999. Before that, Granger held several management positions in the The Walt Disney Co.
Chris Heck, NBA senior vice president, team business operations, will take on additional responsibilities overseeing NBA Canada. He currently oversees team sponsorship, ticket sales and marketing functions.
