MyPoints.com Reports Revenues Up 20% Over Fourth Quarter

San Francisco-based MyPoints.com, an Internet customer-loyalty direct marketer said revenues for its first quarter, ended March 31, 2000, reached $15.8 million, a 20% sequential increase over the previous record quarter. Year over year, the company’s revenues increased 1,115%.

The company reported a first-quarter net loss of $10.9 million, compared with a pro forma net loss of $11.8 million, in the fourth quarter of 1999.

Total membership during the quarter increased to 8.1 million detailed consumer profiles, compared with 5.8 million at the end of the fourth quarter, a 40% sequential increase and a year-over-year increase of 2,682%. The company added on average more than 25,000 new members per day throughout the first quarter, its fastest acquisition pace ever.
