MSC Industrial Direct Co., Inc. reported net income of $33.3 million for the second quarter, up 21.6% from $27.4 million last year.
The direct marketer and distributor reported net sales of $305.9 million for the quarter ended Feb. 25, up 12.7% from $271.4 million last year.
“We are very pleased with the results for the second quarter of fiscal 2006,” said David Sandler, CEO of the Melville, NY company in a statement. “Successful execution on our strategy and delivery of our value proposition to customers allowed us to continue to gain share and grow in all of our markets.”
