Metris Companies, St. Louis Park, MN, has bought a new building in Scottsdale, AZ, which will serve as the western region headquarters for the company. The 130,000-square-foot edifice will house more than 800 employees, and will accommodate house credit risk, operations, collections, and customer service for Direct Merchants Bank, a Metris subsidiary, and west coast personnel for Metris Recoveries.
The new building is located at 17699 N. Perimeter Drive. Metris will begin moving employees into it in Jan. 2000.
