Masterfoods’ Pedigree pet food is partnering with Wal-Mart for a summer-long promo and p.r. campaign to recognize working dogs.
The promotion, dubbed Paws to Recognize: A Canine World Heroes Tribute, runs in June and July. Wal-Mart shoppers get trading cards of six working dogs, then go to www.pedigree.com to vote for their favorite to represent the U.S. in an August ceremony at Humane Society of the U.S. headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Winning dogs from 11 countries will get their paw prints in a Canine World Heroes Walk of Fame. Ryan Partnership, Westport, CT, handles.
