Mamma.com Inc. Acquires Digital Arrow

Montreal-based Mamma.com Inc.’s wholly owned subsidiary, Mamma.com (USA) Inc., has concluded the acquisition of Digitalarrow LLC, a privately held, online e-mail marketing company located in Delray Beach, Fla.

Mamma.com acquired Digital Arrow for $1,050,000 and the issuance of 90,000 common shares of Mamma.com Inc. Digital Arrow had approximately $2.3 million of revenue in 2003. Through a database of opt-in e-mail addresses, it delivers promotional material in consideration for a cost-per-thousand based fee.

Digital Arrow delivers on average 40 million e-mails per business day, mostly in the United States. With this acquisition Mamma.com has added e-mail marketing to its portfolio of online marketing services and now offers advertisers a one-stop shop approach for their online marketing requirements including pay per click advertising through it’s search network, ad creatives through it’s ad network, and now opt-in e-mail marketing services.

“With this acquisition, Mamma.com now has a fully integrated portfolio of services. Incorporating Digital Arrow into the Mamma Media Solutions portfolio of services uniquely positions us to offer all of the online marketing products to advertisers,” said Guy Faure, Mamma.com’s president and CEO, in a statement. “This acquisition enhances our capability to achieve strong organic growth which we will continue to complement by aggressively pursuing appropriate M&A opportunities
