Mail-Well Inc., a giant printing concern in Englewood, CO, reports second-quarter sales increased 25% to $439 million from the same period a year ago. This is the 13th consecutive quarter of record sales, according to the company.
The quarter ended June 30.
Second-quarter net income of $15 million increased 33% from the same quarter last year.
“We are particularly pleased with the margin improvements in each of our businesses,” Gerald F. Mahoney, chairman and CEO of Mail-Well, said in a statement, mentioning envelope-restructuring initiatives that are continuing on plan and the completion of four acquisitions in the second quarter. “A new accounts receivable securitization facility was successfully syndicated in the second quarter, which increased the company’s borrowing capacity by another $50 million,” he added.
