Loparo and Taylor Join AFL Staff

The Arena Football League has named Michael A. Loparo and Charlie Taylor as VP-consumer products and director, partnership services, respectively. The two will be based in the league’s New York office.

In this newly created position, Loparo will build the AFL’s retail-marketing program with current licensees and partners, including Nike, Spalding and Upper Deck, as well as new licensees.

Most recently, Loparo served as the National Sales Director for VF Corp., heading up the premium and corporate sales divisions. Loparo also worked for the National Football League for 13 years, as director, consumer products.

Taylor, also in a newly created position, will focus on managing AFL partnerships, including fulfillment of partnership deliverables, promotion development, renewal coordination and special-event activation.

Taylor has worked with AFL teams for the last five years. Most recently, he served as the director of marketing for the AFL’s Los Angeles Avengers, including brand management, marketing partnerships, advertising and Hispanic and grassroots marketing.
