Salon and beauty care franchisor Regis Corp. has introduced a gift card that will be accepted in its nearly 10,000 salons. These include Master Cuts, Smart Style (Wal-Mart-based salons) and Vidal Sasson franchises.
The salon gift card went live last week, said Mary Kiley, Regis VP of marketing, and will be used exclusively as an incentive program item. For example, Chicago-based Regis has contracted with Visa to provide its cards for Visa’s external loyalty program.
The salon cards are being targeted to loyalty, human resources, reselling programs and other market segments. A Canadian rollout is planned for the near future.
