Targitmail.com abruptly canceled it plans to exhibit at the Direct Marketing Association’s annual fall conference. It cited a move to focus on making the company profitable and cut costs by not sending staff to operate the booth. It has remained empty throughout the conference.
“We are on an immediate budget freeze,” said Paul Grant, marketing programs director for the Portsmouth, NH-based company. Grant said the company is preparing for a variety of strategic options for the new year including a merger, IPO or a direct sellout.
