Experian Starts New Data Subscription Service
Experian has initiated a new subscription service BizInfo Online, for accessing data on more than 12 million small and medium businesses from its National Business Database. Experian offers search features for selecting businesses and individuals by location, industry code and various company demographics for creating and downloading prospecting lists. Data for BizInfo Online is derived from Experian’s business credit database files, telephone directories, state and federal public records.
Goldstein of IDG to Receive List Leader Award
Deb Goldstein, president of IDG List Services, has been selected by the Direct Marketing Association’s List and Database Council to receive the 2005 List Leader of the Year Award on Aug. 3. Goldstein has worked for IDG for 19 years. She launched the firm’s brokerage division in 1995. During her tenure, IDG increased the number of lists it manages from 10 to 80. The awards dinner precedes the opening of the DMA List Vision Conference on Aug. 4, which also will be held in New York.

Matt Musikar, account executive at Direct Media Inc., has been assigned to the two-year-old Redcats USA Master File Modeling program. Musikar will be working with senior account executive Sherry Kores. DMI creates predictive response models by comparing the characteristics of a selected mailer’s customers with variables from nine consumer catalogs published by Redcats in conjunction with InfoBase data. Redcats’ titles include Chadwicks and the Lane Bryant Catalog. Redcats’ master file contains more than 5.7 million records. Numerous selections are available including the newest one–language.
