Ten seconds or less. That’s the amount of time Levi Strauss says it will take to find the perfect-fitting pair of jeans as part of a 12-market tour showcasing its new electronic body measurement system.
The Levi’s brand is taking the new system, the Levi’s Fit Experience, on a 12-market tour to help consumers find that great fit in a pair of jeans in 10 seconds.
When a clothed person steps into the cylindrical glass booth, the system will scan the person’s body in 10 seconds and print out recommended sizes and styles of Levi’s jeans cross reference with that person’s body measurements. When the scan is complete, Levi’s stylists work with customers to help determine which pair of jeans fit best.
The Fit Experience tour kicks off Sept. 3 at the Woodbridge Center in Woodbridge, NJ, and runs through October. The tour will stop in Houston, Baltimore, MD, New York City, San Diego, CA, and Miami, FL.
The tour follows a seven-market test Levi’s conducted of the body measurement system in the spring. Following the tour, Levi’s will install body scanners in most of its store by Nov. 30.
