I have known Andi [Emerson] for about 40 years and served on the Caples Awards committee for the first 15 years of its existence. She almost single-handedly initiated, nurtured, ran and orchestrated one of the most successful endeavors in our industry for all these years and I applaud her for her perseverance, her integrity, and her success in keeping this very important program alive. She has often done so against incredible odds, often facing major deficits in the process, but always with her head and heart in the right place. The fact that the Caples is still a successful and viable program can only be attributed to Andi’s vision and commitment. She is one of a kind.
