I beg to differ with Joe Tavares. I do get the point. My time is extremely valuable, and I have the ringer on my phone shut off when I am at home. I then check my voice mail, and return the calls I want to return, at my convenience, which is what my voice mail message says.
People have become like Pavlov’s dogs, running for the phone every time it rings. My time is important to me, which is why I manage my time, and my telephone. I sort my mail every day, and throw out what I don’t want. It takes 30 seconds. I sort e-mails every day. If I don’t recognize the sender, I delete it. It takes 30 seconds. Wow! A whole minute per day. People have simply overreacted, and Congress enacted feel-good legislation, which is going to impact prices and distribution channels and employment opportunities nationwide, the effects of which have not yet been felt. (I don’t care about you
