Spending on mobile search advertising will grow from a projected $33.2 million in 2007 to $1.4 billion in 2012, according to market forecast figures released by the Kelsey Group.
It projects a compound annual growth rate of 112% for search advertising on mobile devices.
Much of the growth will be in advertising supported directory assistance service, mobile Internet advertising and voice response services on mobile devices.
Kelsey’s forecast is based on interviews, company reports, market surveys and other gathered data.
