K-Tel Consolidates Operations, Appoints New VP And CFO

Beleagured entertainment direct marketer K-tel International Inc., will relocate its executive functions to its Minneapolis corporate headquarters. The consolidation includes Lawrence Kieves, president of K-tel International, and newly hired VP and CFO Steven Kahn, who replaced Corey Fischer.

Kahn has extensive experience in acquisitions, strategic alliances and joint ventures, corporate restructuring, cost containment, investor relations, and Securities and Exchange Commission compliance.

Before joining K-tel International, Kahn was VP and CFO of ACI Telecentrics, a publicly traded teleservices company; VP and CFO of Shuffle Master, a publicly traded gaming and manufacturing company; and a VP and controller at ConAgra. Additionally, Kahn has held various posts as vice president, controller, and accountant at Revlon, SmithKline Beecham and Deloitte Touche.
