JCPenney Picks Hicks as President and Chief Merchandising Officer

JCPenney has promoted Ken Hicks to president and chief merchandising officer. Hicks joined the Plano, TX-based cataloger and retailer in 2002 as president and chief operating officer of stores and merchandise operations.

In his new position, Hicks report directly to chairman and CEO Myron Ullman. He will continue to be responsible for JCPenney Stores, supply chain, and store environment design and construction until a COO successor is found.
