ISIPP Announces Feedback Loop Service

The Institute for Social Internet Public Policy last week announced the launch of Feedback Loop Reports, a new service that works with ISIPP’s flagship service, SuretyMail, to monitor user feedback loops and compile them into an easy-to-read, daily report, the organization announced last week.

Internet service providers allow e-mail senders to sign up for feedback loops—mechanisms provided by ISPs to volume e-mail senders to let them know when someone has marked their message as spam—so the sender can view a copy of each complaint. However, according to ISIPP, staying on top of the complaints can be overwhelming, according to Anne Mitchell, CEO of ISIPP.

“E-mail senders often don’t realize just how quickly spam complaints can kill the delivery of their e-mail to the inbox,” said Mitchell in a release announcing the service. “If they are getting spam complaints—and especially if they are not quickly attending to the spam complaints—the ISPs will start putting all of their e-mail into the junk folder instead of the e-mail inbox.”

According to ISIPP, its daily Feedback Loop Report provides clients with the following:

*How many complaints they received per day per ISP.
*The number of complaints per subject.
*The number of complaints per “From” address.
*The number of complaints per IP address.
*The unique ID of each e-mail that generated a complaint, which helps identify complainers.
*Where possible, the e-mail addresses of those who complained.

Also according to ISIPP, a second daily Feedback Loop Report is included free that informs clients about how many complaints they received at each ISP over the course of each of the past 30 days, so clients can track complaint trends.

According to Mitchell, the service costs $50 a month for ISIPP customers, $75 a month for non-customers.
