InfoUSA reported net income of $4.9 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31, up from net income of $4.5 million last year.

The business information provider reported net sales of $74.6 million, down from net sales of $79 million last year.

“During 2003 we achieved record revenues of $311.3 continued profitable growth, ” said Vin Gupta, CEO of the Omaha-based firm in a statement.

InfoUSA reported net income of $6.9 million for the first quarter, up from $4.9 million last year.

The business information compiler reported net sales of $76.1 million for the quarter ended March 31, down from $76.7 million last year.

“During the first quarter 2003, infoUSA’s revenue remained relatively flat compared to the first quarter of 2002,” said CEO Vin Gupta in a statement “Our profitability remains among the highest in the industry, despite having been negatively impacted by the loss of high-margin revenues from Internet licensing customers that have gone out of business.”
