Posted on

CMSWire, a Web magazine focused on social business, online customer experience and information management, has shared an infographic that offers an overview of 2012 from a social business standpoint.

“In this original infographic, we aim to summarize not only the progress that specific social media networks have made during the past year, but the tools and strategies we’re employing to help us improve productivity, efficiency and ultimately, the bottom line,” CMSWire explains.

Among the major social media events in 2012 are Twitter’s acquisitions of Summify, Posterous, RestEngine and Dasient; Facebook’s $1 billion purchase of Instagram; Google+’s Search Plus developers page; and Pinterest’s introduction of business pages.
