ICT Group Inc., Newtown, PA, generated $73.3 million in revenue, down slightly from the $74.1 million it pulled in during third quarter 2002. The company took a net loss of $217,000, compared with net income of $2.9 million a year ago. The quarter ended Sept. 30.
The company, which provides CRM services, attributed part of its revenue shortfall to confusion over the do-not-call list.
“We believe we have successfully repositioned the company to be much less dependent on domestic outbound consumer telemarketing and more focused on capturing new business in the rapidly expanding CRM services markets for consumer and marketing services, which now represent more than 60% of total company revenue,” said John J. Brennan, ICT’s CEO, in a statement.
During the quarter just ended, ICT recorded $668,000 in litigation costs, compared with $150,000 in third-quarter 2002. Rising cost of services and administrative costs also contributed to its net loss for the quarter.
