Michael Stone has been appointed senior strategist at Novom Marketing, an integrated hotel and resort marketing communications company located in Hollywood, CA.

Stone has more than three decades of experience in strategic marketing communications, working on a wide variety of projects including market research studies, positioning and branding initiatives, identity systems, website development, public relations and image advertising campaigns. He also has extensive experience in direct mail, database marketing, strategic partnerships, fundraising communications and oversight of major publications.
He recently retired from UCLA, where he served for the past 14 years as the university’s first executive director of marketing and communication services and, before that, as director of communications and institutional relations for UCLA Extension, an urban-based continuing education program.
He also served as the director of marketing for Virginia Tech’s professional continuing education program and helped re-launch the historic Hotel Roanoke and, at the time, its new conference center.
