Homewood Suites by Hilton Renews Billboard Contest

Homewood Suites by Hilton is back once again giving people a chance to put their mugs on one of the world’s largest stages—video billboards in New York City’s Times Square.

The hotel chain is seeking photos and videos of its guests as part of its Simple Moments contest. Submissions can be entered April 15 to July 18 to http://www.homewoodmoments.com. A team of judges will narrow down the pool to 20-30 entries that best represent Homewood Suites “Simple Moment,” then down to the top 10 selections.

Entries will be posted on the Web site on Aug. 5 when people can vote for their favorite through Aug. 31.The company will select three winners in October to travel to New York to see their photos and images appear live on the jumbo-sized video billboards in Times Square.

Last year, Homewood Suites received 1,225 entries in the contest. The three winning photos were of pictures of twin boys swimming underwater, a little boy sitting in a field of blue bonnets a shot of a boy’s first trip to a baseball game. The winning photos became an integral part of the Homewood Suites advertising campaign, the company said.

Homewood Suites, in part, is using the campaign to give its advertising campaign a fresh look, the firm said.

The company is promoting the contest and the brand through advertisements in consumer outlets and via PR. Ruder Finn and DraftFCB are handling the campaign.
