Henderson Wins $1.5 Million Assignment for Gold’s Gym

Henderson Advertising has won Gold’s Gym International’s creative business. The Greenville, SC, shop overcame Riester-Robb and Colby & Partners in a final review for the $1.5 million assignment.

Henderson will provide advertising, promotions, POS materials, direct marketing and Web development for the company, which includes 650 gyms in 34 countries. The creative work had been handled in-house by franchisees or outsourced to freelancers, Bill Reynolds, media director for Henderson, said yesterday.

Venice, CA-based Gold’s Gym International’s annual advertising spending is estimated at $15 to $25 million.

Media buying is handled in-house by the franchisees.
