The OfficeMax Inc. board will have six vacancies – half of its total membership — come April 20, according to the Associated Press.
The vacancies include those seats formerly held by Claire S. Farley and Ward W. Woods, who resigned in 2005. In April, A. William Reynolds will reach the company’s mandatory retirement age for directors, according to AP. Jane E. Shaw and Edward E. Hagenlocker have already told the board they intend to retire when their current terms expire in April, and Carolyn M. Ticknor has told the board she intends to resign at the annual meeting, AP reported.
The company will reduce the number of seats on the board from 12 to eight, according to the AP. Two new board members are up for election.
