The Internet Alliance (IA), has promoted Emily Hackett to the position of executive director from director of state policy issues. She will be responsible for tracking and influencing legislation affecting the Internet, information technology and electronic commerce in all 50 states.
Hackett joined the Internet Alliance, a subsidiary if he Direct Marketing Association, in 1999. Previously, she served in key government positions at the White House, Office of Management and Budget, and the Federal Trade Commission.
